Rosamond B. Loring was an unsurpassed craftsman in her field, and a distinguished collector and scholar as well. Her Decorated Book Papers, privately printed in 1942, went out of print in six months: copies have been sought after ever since. The book includes a history of endpapers and of marbling and a description of the many varieties of decorated book papers, and it tells how to make them. This long-awaited new edition will have a Foreword by Philip Hofer and essays by Walter Whitehill, Dard Hunter, and Veronica Ruzicka.
